Description
Anyone who claims to hate Brussels sprouts has clearly never had them baked in a creamy sauce topped with crisp bacon breadcrumbs! The recipe is a Yummly original created by Sara Mellas.
Ingredients

- nonstick cooking spray
- 1 1/2 lb. Brussels sprouts
- 1 Tbsp. extra-virgin olive oil
- 1/4 tsp. salt (for Brussels sprouts)
- black pepper (to taste, for Brussels sprouts)
- 4 strips bacon
- 2 cloves garlic
- 2 Tbsp. butter (for roux)
- 3 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 cups whole milk
- 4 oz. shredded Gruyere cheese (4 oz. is about 1 cup)
- 1/2 tsp. salt (for sauce)
- 1 pinch black pepper (for sauce)
- 1 cup fresh breadcrumbs
- 1 oz. grated Parmesan cheese (1 oz. is about 1/4 cup)
- 1/4 tsp. salt (for breadcrumbs)
- black pepper (to taste, for breadcrumbs)
- 4 Tbsp. butter (melted, for breadcrumbs)

Directions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F.
- Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper. Set aside.
- Spray a 9-inch square baking dish with nonstick cooking spray. Set aside.
