- 2 3/4 cups cake flour
- 1 Tbsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. canela
- 1 3/4 cups vanilla sugar (*, can substitute regular sugar)
- 3/4 cup milk
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 12 Tbsp. butter (at room temperature, plus 2 tablespoons for the pans)
- 5 large egg whites (at room temperature)
- buttercream frosting (Vanilla, tinted a light copper color, recipe to follow)
- 1 cup candies (crushed Valentine heart, I used a zip-top bag and a rolling pin to break)
- 2 cups butter (room temperature)
- 8 cups confectioner's sugar (sifted)
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 Tbsp. vanilla paste (can sub vanilla extract)
- 8 Tbsp. milk
- food coloring (copper colored, or any color you like!)
