- 3 heads broccoli (cut into halves or quarters)
- 4 Tbsp. hot sauce (something such as Frank’s or Texas Pete is suitable for home chefs)
- 2 Tbsp. wildflower honey (local, sorghum molasses or agave nectar can also be substituted for vegan alternative)
- 1 Tbsp. light brown sugar (tightly packed)
- 1 tsp. kosher salt
- 4 oz. unsalted butter (cold, cut into small cubes, omit for vegan alternative)
- 1 knob ginger (julienned as small as possible)
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- seeds (Benne, lightly toasted, to garnish, white sesame seeds will also work just fine, optional)
