I make this every year for Christmas morning. I use cinnamon bread and blueberries instead of raisins. It's so easy and never fails to get raves.

This is the EXACT recipe (even in chronological order) that’s been in my family for generations.
I always add a tiny bit more cinnamon & vanilla, 7-8 slices of torn bread and put cranberries (or raspberries) and/or blueberries on top. I made it today and, on a whim because I don’t have any blueberries, tucked some glazed pecans in the pockets of the bread, prior to pouring the wet liquid over it.
I also used a 11×7 ceramic non stick pan and sprayed it with canola oil.
