- 1 lb. fresh green beans (ends trimmed)
- 2 tsp. garlic (finely minced fresh)
- 1 Tbsp. olive oil
- 1 can diced tomatoes with juice (I used petite dice tomatoes)
- 10 Kalamata olives (coarsely chopped)
- 1 Tbsp. capers (next time I might use 2 T)
- salt
- ground black pepper
- 2 tsp. fresh basil (thinly sliced, optional, I probably wouldn't bother with the basil next time)

I loved this. I did not have fresh basil available, but I used Penzey’s Italian Seasoning which contains basil, oregano, and other herbs. The kalamata olives and capers made this recipe a keeper.
