It turned out great but would have been quite bland braising with plain water and only salt and pepper. I added paprika, garlic powder and onion powder and used chicken stock for the braising liquid. The idea of browning the kielbasa ahead and adding it back in the last few minutes was right on though. I also added some Chulola sauce in when I returned the kielbasa too. My family loved it with those modifications. Thinking of adding a little beer to the braising liquid next time…just didn’t have any today.

The recipe as is would have been bland. I substituted the seasonings with my own because I know what’s listed wouldn’t have been enough for the way I like my cabbage(with a little spice) overall following the recipe as is other wise was ok. I used my deep frying skillet to cook everything.

I made the recipe as indicated except instead of using water I used home made chicken broth. I had high hopes for this recipe, but it was very bland. A few more spices are needed. We had leftovers the next day and I put in caraway seeds and celery salt. It helped a bit, but it was still bland. If I were to make it again I'd probably use sauerkraut instead of just cabbage. But I don't think I will be making it again.
