Lovely depth and balance of flavours. I used extra bacon (because BACON) and didn't add salt to the skillet, but personal preference and all. Best of all with this recipe, for us anyway, the bourbon isn't overwhelming; it just gives the beans that "something extra". Leftovers are great on toast or on their own.
