I made it with split yellow peas. I am new to bean cakes, and I didn't rigidly stick to the recipe. I subbed out the orange juice (because I didn't have any) and added a tablespoon of peanut butter (100% peanuts), and cinnamon. I also used 2/3 cup sugar. Great texture, Tasted great. I used a tablespoon less cocoa, I don't like it too dark and rich. I also added 2 tsp ground seeds ( pumpkin and sunflower with flax seed ). Definitely make again, perfect crumb!
