- 1 cinnamon stick (broken in half)

- 2/3 cup cashews (unsalted roasted, broken in half with fingers)
- 2 tsp. turbinado sugar
- 1/2 cup gluten-free oats (bob's red, old-fashioned rolled oats, or regular old-fashioned rolled oats if you do not have any gf guests)
- 1/2 cup dried currants
- 2 bananas (ripe, mashed, for about 1 cup)
- 2 cups half-and-half

- 3 Tbsp. brown sugar
- 1 ground ginger
- 1 ground cloves
- 3/4 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
