I’ve made it with ground beef, which is excellent, but also made it with leftover Easter lamb roast and mixed in some of the lamb gravy with the sauce and it was delicious.

Loved the meat recipe but the potatoes were too mushy for my liking. Need to firm them up for next time but will definitely use again

Best cottage pie I’ve ever had. In particular, the recipe for the mashed potatoes is now my go-to

This recipe is a keeper! I am not new to making or eating Shepherd’s Pie but my husband and I agree THIS IS THE BEST I’ve ever made!! I made a few changes. Was short on ground lamb so topped it up with ground veal as well. Found it balanced well. Used rosemary I had dried from my garden, added some extra Worcestershire sauce ( love WS).Left out the Parmesan from the potatoes, love park on my pasta but not with lamb! Great savoury warm meal on a chilly Canadian December night!!

Best Shepherd's Pie recipe I have tried so far. I used a hack and used Idaho instant potatoes using half and half for the milk to speed up prep time. I also used ground lamb for the meat. It gives the dish a nice flavor

Family loved this one. Needs a little more than 15 minutes Cooling time when it comes out of the oven, otherwise the potatoes are not firm. however, it was great regardless

First time making a Shepard’s Pie and it was phenomenal. My family loved it. Used 1/2 beef and 1/2 lamb, next time using more lamb.

Yummy, I also sautéed some pearl onions
in butter and put a layer on top of the filling before covering it with the mashed potatoes & grated cheese.

So good! The meat mixture was delicious. I used fresh Rosemary instead. The potatoes were amazing! This will be a family fav.

Delicious! Everyone loved it. Took longer to make than I anticipated - I'm not the fastest in the kitchen, but I don't think that 1 hr 10 min is realistic. But oh so worth it!!

This had great flavor and was easy to make. I used can veggies instead of frozen and added doubled the flour, tomato paste, broth and Worcestershire sauce. It was great!

Absolutely delicious! The combination of herbs adds so much flavour to the ground beef. My only modification, I tipped the mash potatoes with cheddar #yum I will definitely make this again!

VERY good...comfort food at its finest! The rosemary is pretty dominant, will probably 1/2 it next time. Other than that...very tasty. The entire family enjoyed it.
