first time making molasses cookies. I remember growing up my great grandmother would usually have a fresh baked batch of these on the counter. that was about 31 years ago and thses brought me back. Super easy to make and I substituted the nutmeg with cloves. nice and soft with the perfect amount of chewiness

The taste of the cookies was great with dark brown sugar and a little extra ginger added. As previously mentioned, the cookies do harden a bit after they cool, but the center is chewy.

These were the most amazing cookies and sent me back to childhood. No modifications and will make at Christmas again!

Delicious and easy! Come out nice and soft they harden up as they cool but the middle is still soft my son and I both thought just a touch more ginger would be great and I will definitely try the dark brown sugar next time to see the difference makes a lot of little cookies Sooooo good!!!!

Refrigerated dough overbite. No modifications made. Very flavorful. Needed more oven time: about 12 min. Husband says better than Archway!

Flavor is really good but they turn out flat. Will try again but adjust to see if I can get them fluffy.

even After chilling dough for 2 hours cookies still came out seriously flat. however super addictive and chewy! almost yo the point of fslling apart! will make these stain and maybe cool the dough overnight.

Delicious. Soft and chewy, but a little crisp on the outside. My husband is particular about his cookies and he loved them!

Yum. The recipe made a big batch. Chewy and delicious, and they stayed yummy for the 5 days they were in our kitchen.

I’ve never made molasses cookies before but my friend lives them. I’m not a big fan of molasses but these cookies were absolutely delicious!
I did end up baking them for a bit longer but that was the only change in the recipe!
So popular I’m making them again.

The taste is very good! The cookie turned out thinner than the pictures so the middle of the cookies fell out. The "ungreased" cookie sheet allowed the cooled cookies to stick and the need to be carefully scraped with a few of them in crumbly yet gooey pieces. Great flavor though...

Made these and my husband love the chewy edges and gewy centers
Cooked half a batch then rolled the rest and froze them ready to pop into the oven when we need a cookie fix 😋

For some reason they spread out and were about 1/8 inch thick. However they are chewy and absolutely tasty. Only gave four stars because other than being brown, there is little resemblance to the photos. Taste is five star. I would make the balls an inch instead of a inch and a half.
