- 2 tsp. cumin seeds (jeera)
- 3/4 cup onions (ginger, garlic paste, use 2 medium sized onions, 1-inch ginger, 6 garlic cloves)
- 1 green chilies (medium, chopped)
- 1/2 tsp. turmeric powder (haldi powder)
- 1 tsp. red chili powder (or to taste)
- 1/2 tsp. coriander powder (dhania powder)
- 1 pinch asafetida (hing)
- 1/4 tsp. garam masala powder
- 2 Tbsp. fenugreek leaves (dried, kasuri methi)
- salt (as per taste)
- 1 1/2 cups yogurt (natural whisked, dahi, at room temperature)
