These waffles are a bit savory. I used molasses instead of honey, which gave them a rich color and a stronger flavor. They are delicious. Also my beer was stale and it worked fine. I made 1/2 the batch as printed and the other half I added about 1/2 sliced ripe banana and that part of the batch was even better. This is a delicious recipe that I would make again.
