  • 9 ounces dried rice noodles
  • 1 tablespoon peanut oil
  • 1 1/4 pounds ground beef
  • 1 onion (medium, thinly sliced)
  • 2 red chilies (fresh long, thinly sliced)
  • 12 ounces chinese cabbage (coarsely chopped)
  • 5 ounces sugar snap peas
  • 1/4 cup black bean sauce
  • 1/4 cup kecap manis (Indonesian soy sauce)
  • 1/4 cup beef stock
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 4 green onions (thinly sliced)

    Directions

    1. Cover noodles with boiling water. Set aside until just tender. Drain.
    2. Heat oil in a wok over high heat. Stir-fry beef, onion and chilies until beef is cooked through. Add cabbage and peas. Stir-fry until cabbage is tender. Add noodles, black bean sauce, kecap manis, beef stock, vinegar and green onions. Stir-fry until hot. Serve.
