- 1 small yellow onion (sliced)
- 3 cups beef broth (I used 3 packets of granulated beef bouillon dissolved in 3 cups of hot water)
- 10 Tbsp. shoyu (Kikkoman, soy sauce)
- 6 Tbsp. mirin (cooking)
- 4 Tbsp. sugar
- white rice (steamed)
