- 3 cups chicken broth (or water* – see notes below)
- 1 Tbsp. dried basil (each of, oregano, and celery salt)
- 2 Tbsp. paprika
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 1/4 tsp. salt (optional, I leave it out)
- 3 dashes Tabasco Sauce
- 2 liters milk (– homogenized)
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 lb. white fish (or more, – such as haddock, cod or sole)

- lobster
- salmon
- sardines
