    I noticed a review that critiqued this recipe as bland, so I doubled the dried mushrooms, substituted beef broth for the water, and seasoned liberally with salt and pepper. I will back off the salt a bit next time, but otherwise the result was a flavorful dish that was popular with the whole family. I will absolutely be making this again.
