I got rave reviews I used Lorna Doone shortbread cookies for the crust instead of vanilla wafers or graham crackers. I felt they were better for a cheesecake based on a pie with a shortbread crust.

This filling turned out really well! I decided to try using pretzels for the crust though, and they ended up getting chewy. Not sure if it was doomed from the beginning, or if I didn’t crush them finely enough....but I just had them in hand and wanted to try it. Next time will use Nilla wafers or grahams. I made a strawberry topping to go with this bc strawberry and banana is a favorite combo. So good.

Great recipe. I increased the bananas to 5 and the crushed vanilla wafers to 2 cups. Also, I forgot to add the vanilla. everyone loved it.

the first one was good.but the second i used ripper bananas and more of them i used more corn starch and had a brain fart on the cooking times.over all i thought it was great.i shared some with my coworkers and awsome reviews.i am happy with it.abd enjoy yummly.

I don't know if I did wrong. I've made cheesecakes before. followed the recipe exactly. It was awful! it tasted soured.

i so wanted to love this recipe. i love bananas and love cheese cake. while it turned out nicely, i thought it lacked banana flavor.

Was awesome. Used the vanilla wafers as mentioned in the original post, advise to use a bit less butter in the crust... also topped with a peanut butter drizzle.... omg it was so good. Next time Im going to add a bit of pineapple to cake mix and top with coconut...

This was my first time making a cheesecake, none the less a banana cheesecake..wow what a delicious treat. I made it in a pie pan and it still turned out superb. Thanks for sharing this recipe with the Yummly community!

Absolutely delicious! I opted for graham cracker crust as I had them on hand. This recipe was easy and top-notch in flavor. I was concerned as my bananas were not very ripe, but it worked out perfectly. Definitely a keeper!

Such a good cheesecake ended up perfectly! I put a half teaspoon of vanilla extract and a half teaspoon of banana extract turned out great! I finished it off with granulated sugar and made a brûlée on the top! Would highly recommend
