i had no baking soda so i increased the baking poweder portion.. sadly it ended up a bit flat! also, it took me only half the baking time.. anyway, the taste is good... not very sweet aswell so it is perfect to serve it next to ice cream

I work for Yummly. Banana bread was always a staple growing up at home, but I’ve yet to find one that reminds me of the one like my grandma used to make. This banana bread recipe is a keeper and one I plan on making again. The bread is moist with a crisp outside edge with fresh banana flavor. I always put bananas that get overripe into the freezer so I didn’t have any non-frozen ones one hand. I just threw all the ingredients in the blender with the frozen bananas and made the batter right in the blender and poured it into the bread pan. I made an orange glacé icing to top the banana bread with like my grandma used to make. Just used 1 cup confectioners sugar, 1 1/2 Tbsp orange juice, 1 1/2 Tbsp light corn syrup and 1/4 tsp vanilla extract. Very good and can’t wait to make again!

Have also made many times. It’s my go to when I only have two old bananas, which seems to be the case more and more, so perfect when you don’t need more than a few. I always add extra cinnamon. Also super great is only needing one bowl to prepare. Family loves it.

I usually make banana bread according to the amount of bananas and types of ingredients I’ve got in my pantry... didn’t have any dairy, so it was good to find a recipe that would fit this condition

So good! I used more of a brownie pan to make it and it took only 30 minutes to bake. Would make it just like this a million times over. Super easy and great if kids wanna help! Added pecans in mine.
