- 250 mL jam (1cup, 8 US fl. oz, or curd, warmed for spreadability)
- 1 frangipane (quantity, recipe follows)
- 1 handful flaked almonds (blanched)

- 225 grams all purpose flour
- 30 grams sugar
- 2.5 mL salt
- 110 grams unsalted butter (cold, frozen is better)
- 2 egg yolks
- 2.5 mL almond extract (optional – I used vanilla extract instead, like the notes said)
- 30 mL cold water
- 125 grams unsalted butter (softened)
- 125 grams icing sugar
- 3 eggs
- 2.5 mL almond extract
- 125 grams ground almonds
- 30 grams all purpose flour
