  • 1 whole fish
  • garlic salt (to taste)
  • 1 inch ginger (sliced skinless)
  • 4 sprigs parsley (or 2 stalks chopped scallions, discard roots and wilted ends)
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce

    Directions

    1. TO BAKE: In a baking pan, add the following: Fish, Garlic Salt and optional: Ginger; coat the outside of the fish and its cavity evenly using a spoon.
    2. Marinate for about 1 hour, or cover and put it in the refrigerator overnight.
    3. Place the baking pan [with the marinated fish] in the oven. Bake at 425 degrees for about 20 minutes or until the fish skin is crispy and flesh is opaque. Remove and discard any burned ginger.
