Just made this for dinner tonight and it was delicious! I made it exactly as stated, but like other users said this reminds me of my stuffed shells recipe that my family loves except that one uses ricotta and cottage cheese so I may try doing that with this recipe next time since it’s so much less time consuming in regards to prepping it.

Absolutely amazing!! I followed the recipe except for instead of Italian sausage I used turkey sausage. My two boys loved it! My oldest is very critical about food and he loved this dish and had two helpings.

Honestly the best baked ziti I've ever had. Made it for company, and one of my guests took one bite and said "WOW. This is really good". Followed the recipe exactly but left off the parsley at the end.

Very tasty. Used medium pasta shells instead for fun. They ended up being the perfect meaty, cheesy, sauce- holding pockets of goodness. Yum.

Great recipe but I added more spices & squeeze tube basil. After cooking the Italian sausage ( no ground beef) I mixed everything else together simmered then added ziti & then placed in pan. I like to let mine sit awhile so the spices mature! Also I use Cento Marzano canned tomatoes. They are a little more expensive but make the best sauces!

My hubby didn’t love the large chunks of onion, so I’ll cut them smaller, but that’s all about personal preference! Loved it. I also substituted the tomatoes in juice for tomato sauce and water and then added a jar of marinara sauce.

Delicious recipe. Big hit with everyone. Subbed cottage cheese for the ricotta...milder flavor, but still very good.

I used ground pork and plain tomato sauce and it still turned out amazing. Great recipe, and very flexible.
