I have looked for a recipe that resembled what my Mother used to make 50 years ago. Finally, I came across this deliciousness! I doubled the ingredients for my family. It brought back memories of childhood. I recommend it; it’s rich, creamy and the raisins add a natural sweetness. It’s up to you if you want to add more nutmeg. I did! Also, I used Calrose rice. It is a medium grain which cooks sticky and absorbs flavor perfectly. It was a great find that I’d never used before.

I used one cup milk and one cup heavy cream. I added a teaspoon cinnamon. Delicious.
