- 6 tomatoes (large ripe, roughly chopped)

This tasted great...i forgot to add the sugar however and tasted the slight bitterness from the passata. So would say don't consider the sugar as optional but a must ingredient. I modified recipie by adding cheddar cheese on top before putting in the oven 👍🏾

Make sure you taste the sauce before you put the gnocchi in and bake it. It needed some major umph to get it to our standards. We love spice and flavor, so in went the oregano, rosemary, thyme, garlic powder. Instead of fresh tomatoes and passata, I used large cans of tomato puree and crushed tomatoes. I also layered the mozarella, 1/2way and on top.
This made 2 casserole dishfuls!!
Stuck 1 in the freezer, so hope that 1 turns out ok!
