I've made these twice, once using the apricot preserve and once with a cinnamon, brown sugar and butter paste. I liked them with the cinnamon paste better, I feel that the flavours of the apple and cinnamon mix better than the apple and apricot. It's a great recipe, they're very easy to make but they look stunning.
