The egg and milk mixture made the dish too mushy and even after draining the grease, the dish was too heavy

Soooooooo good!! I used the crusts of the bread, whole milk, and did not let it sit overnight. I let it sit in the fridge for about 20 minutes and baked as directed. Delicious 😋
