  • 1/4 cup mirin
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons bean paste (black, I use Lee Kum Kee brand)
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar (can substitute white vinegar)
  • 1 teaspoon ginger powder (or 1 tablespoon finely minced ginger)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder (or 2-3 cloves garlic, finely minced)
  • 1 teaspoon chinese 5 spice powder (Spicely)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
