- 1 1/2 Tbsp. olive oil
- 3 tsp. minced garlic
- 1 can green chilis (diced)
- 2 avocados (ripe, skin and pit removed)
- 1 Tbsp. lemon (or lime juice – I think I’d prefer lime, but lemon was what I had in my kitchen tonight)
- 1/4 tsp. green Tabasco sauce (plus more to taste)
- 3 1/2 cups water
- 1 1/2 tsp. sea salt
- 1/4 tsp. fresh ground black pepper
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 3 cups canned chicken broth (or homemade stock)
- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (cooked, cut into approximately 1 1/2-by-1/4-by-1/4-inch strips, I bake mine, then slice it up)

- crumbled bacon
- sour cream
