I enjoyed this so much. Quick, easy and flavorful! The perfect accompaniment to a sirloin roast and baked potato Sunday lunch.

The lemon taste is amazing! The thing that I need to still learn better is how to not overcook the asparagus... next time I’ll pay more attention to that, but as taste, this recipe is very easy and quick to prepare. Thanks!

It was superb but I had to add my own spin...I used a Persian Lime Olive Oil, with a dash of garlic salt & pepper, 4 drops of lemon juice, and a dollop of Black Truffle Butter. Sauteed via skillet to perfection! Other fresh veggies included celery, cherry tomatoes, and baby bellas. I sauteed shrimp with a similar sauce, minus the garlic salt, bring on the Old Bay...😋

My family loved it - this wb my go to. Highly recommend, but read on about my substitution. I did make a couple of small changes... After I drained out the water, I returned my skillet pan to the stove* (I kept the asparagus in length) and added EVOO, I didnt have a lemon so I sprinkled lemon pepper and added the zest of an orange, tossed it and added the parmesan cheese, tossed it and put it on a serving dish. * I didn't read the recipe right, but it still came out great!!

This was wonderful asparagus with just a slight crunch to it. Served with baked salmon!

Really love how simple and very flavorful this turns out. Quick and easy to prepare healthy crunchy refreshing, I didn't add salt though. The Cheese carry enough salt to add the finishing taste. Thank you for this simply awesome recipe.

Really easy, and the lemon really adds to the flavor. Easy enough to pull together when you need a quick side.

The other reviews are right! I didn't like asparagus until I made it this way. Roasted never did it for me. This way of blanching it really brings out a wonderful flavor in the asparagus, not to mention a beautiful color. Use good quality olive oil for this.

Asparagus is one of my least favorite veggies on the planet, but I sacrifice my taste buds because its my significant other's favorite veggie. Typically when I oven roast the asparagus, I can eat 2 of the 3 pieces I stick on my plate before pushing it aside in disgust. The recipe from Simply Recipes changes everything though. I actually really, really liked the asparagus prepared this way. So much so that I put a second helping on my plate. It was super easy to prepare, and the flavor was bright and refreshing. This will be my 'go-to' recipe for asparagus now!
