- 1/4 cup water chestnuts (finely diced, from an 8 ounce can, reserve the rest of the can for the second part of the recip)

- 2 inches ginger (knob of, minced)
- 3 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1/4 tsp. crushed red pepper flakes
- 3/4 lb. green beans (trimmed, cut in 1 1/2 to 2 inch pieces)
- 2 Tbsp. soy sauce
- 1 Tbsp. oyster sauce
- 2 cups chicken broth
- water chestnuts (The remaining sliced, from the 8 ounce can)

- 1/4 cup cold water
- 2 corn starch
