    This is a simple, straight forward recipe and can be prepared in stages to save time at final assembly. Prepared directly on a parchment lined baking sheet it made rolling the strudel effortless. To the recipe I added a tsp cinnamon along with the sugar. I found however that 4 apples were too much. 3 would suffice. Big hit with my guests.Warm with ice cream next time. A quick note: The phyllo dough I used came two rolls of 20 sheets per box. To avoid waste, half the roll (10 sheets of dough) can be used for this recipe.
