The instructions were lacking for how long to cook the custard for. i felt it was a bit runny for me. I probably needed to cook it longer. the custard and crust went well together. The apples were hard to shape into roses. Looks pretty anyway. maybe im my worst critic.

This was my first tart ever and it came out fantastic! The roses are time consuming but completely worth it. I added nutmeg, cinnamon, ginger, and clove into the crust mixture as well as sprinkled a little cinnamon on top after brushing the apples with honey - made for a more complex, fall-like flavor!
