- 1/2 cup butter
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 3 brandy (Tbspn, opt.)
- heavy cream (splash of)
- 3/4 cup flour
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/3 cup butter
- 8 oz. buttermilk
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 stick butter (melted)
- 2 vanilla (Tbspn, or, use 1 tspn vanilla and cut and scrape a vanilla bean into the batter)
- 8 oz. flour
- 1 1/2 sugar (tspn, even better: use vanilla sugar!)
- 2 baking powder (tspn)
- 1 salt (tspn)
