These Apple Chocolate Crumble Bars combine all the flavors of this Italian classic into deliciously crumbly bars. The crumble mixture is made from a blend of butter, flour, cocoa powder, sugar, and marsala wine for a rich decadent flavor. Featuring two layers of crumble mixture separated by a layer of apple jam, these Apple Chocolate Crumble Bars are the perfect fall time treat.
Ingredients
- 175 grams salted butter
- 250 grams flour
- 90 grams granulated sugar
- 250 grams apple jam
- 50 grams cocoa (powdered)
- 1 Tbsp. marsala wine
Directions
- Line a baking dish measuring 18 x 18 centimeters with wax paper.
- Combine the flour with the sugar, the cocoa, and the Marsala.
- Add the butter, chilled and cut into pieces, and work with the tips of your fingers until the mixture resembles oatmeal.
