Update: I made this again and it is really good. I think maybe thicker apple slices on top is causing it to need more cook time, but I doubled the recipe and the loaves needed an hour and five minutes, maybe could have cooked a couple more..... Great! I used thyme instead of dill- it was in the original recipe and I thought it sounded like it went better with apples and cheddar. The original recipe also calls for apple cider, not juice, but I used juice. It took longer than 45 minutes to bake for me. I'd say more like an hour. Did fit 4x8 pan well. Very pretty- I made it for a friend, so not sure about flavor, but it smells great and I imagine is pretty moist with a nice crust.
