  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup rolled oats
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (cold, cut into 1/2 -inch pieces)
  • 3 tablespoons ice water
  • 3 granny smith apples
  • 2 teaspoons fresh lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter (melted)

    Directions

    1. Preheat oven to 375° F
    2. Butter a 12-cup muffin tin. Combine flour, oats and salt in bowl of food processor. Pulse to combine. Add butter and pulse until crumbly. Add ice water, 1 tablespoon at a time, pulsing until dough begins to hold together. On work surface, gather dough into a ball and divide into 2 pieces. Flatten into a disc, wrap and refrigerate for 45 minutes. When dough has chilled, roll to about 1â„4-inch thick. Cut into circles using 3-inch cutter. Fit each round into the prepared muffin tin, pushing dough up the sides.
    3. Combine brown sugar, flour, salt and cinnamon in medium bowl. Toss with melted butter. Set aside.
