- 2 onion (medium or 1 large, chopped, yellow or sweet onion, not vidalia)
- 2 Tbsp. butter (for sauteing onions)
- 3/4 cup ketchup
- 1/2 cup molasses
- 3 Tbsp. yellow mustard
- 1/2 cup brown sugar (use less for less sweetness)
- 8 slices bacon (uncooked, each cut in half or thirds)

I made this recipe for our fourth of July cook out. I made it the night before, and just warmed it up a bit, in a warm oven. It was a big hit, everyone loved it. Even my picky eater grown youngest grand daughter. This recipe is definitely a keeper.
