- 1 large egg
- 3 oz. white bread (75 g, sliced and crusts removed, cut into 1 inch, 2.5 cm cubes)

- 1 1/2 mustard powder (rounded teaspoons English)
- 2 Tbsp. worcestershire sauce
- 4 dry white wine (120 ml)
- 8 slices smoked streaky bacon (6 oz/175g)

- 1 red onion (medium, peeled and finely chopped)
- 1 lb. tomatoes (450g ,ripe red)
- 1 red chilli (small, deseeded and finely chopped)
- 1 clove garlic (large ,peeled and crushed)
- 2 Tbsp. dark brown sugar (soft)
- 8 balsamic vinegar (225ml)
