  • 1 teaspoon honey (or sugar)
  • 4 teaspoons baking powder
  • 3/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup butter (cold)
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup buttermilk (add 1 Tb. vinegar to a 1 c. measure and then add milk to equal 1 c. unless you have access to true buttermilk- what they sell in the stores as buttermilk is full of additives!)
