Even after I accidentally overshot the almond extract amount, it was still lovely! I added some dark chocolate chips for a little more something.

This is a fantastic tea cake!
I have made it a couple of times for different occasions and there is never a piece left!! I reduced the sugar to 1-cup and the addition of the almond extract makes the perfect amount of sweet!! I also found that I prefer to use sour cream versus Greek/plain yogurt.

It is a little sweet and that covers the delicate Matcha flavor. I think next time I will lessen the sugar and add a little more Match powder. Also it manages to taste buttery without there being any butter in it.

Sugar, the ratio is to flour is too high, I will decrease sugar to one cup. and omit the the almond extract, ( Matcha is very delicate) too many flavors will destroy matcha flavor.
