I love this recipe, but even with the rotation, my chicken still comes out with red blood, even after following the directions exactly, and I only used a 3.5 pound chicken Might it have something to do with high altitude.? I am in Las Cruces, New Mexico, and I wonder if I need to adjust the cooking times for the altitude, But I would have no idea how much.
Also, when the chicken was finally done, it was gamey and not at all succulent
A question: this is supposed to cook on air fry and not bake, right? I really want this recipe to work It has failed me two times in a row

Omg this was the best chicken I ever tasted had on a 3.13 lb chicken and cooked 50 minutes total it was perfect. I have always had trouble cooking a whole chicken and having it cooked through yummy yummy for my tummy

Perfect. Our chicken was 4.8 lbs., so we did 45 minutes instead of 50 for the first part, and then 8 minutes instead of 10 after flipping the chicken. I also made a little extra of the spice mix and rubbed most of it underneath the skin and sprinkled the rest on top. So much flavor.

Turns out perfect every time! Crispy outside with juicy meat. Also the perfect blend of herbs and spices. This is a family favorite!!

We were blown out with the taste. It was the bomb dot com. I loved how it turned out so juicy and tasty. As did my son, he couldn't wait to taste a piece. I will definitely be making this again.

Delish. I didn’t mix the dry rub with oil, stuffed cavity with celery and onion and thyme after rubbing cavity. Let sit for a good 30 min after cooking tented with aluminum. So moist. Amazing.

Cooked at 375 for 1 hour, turning halfway. I set the timer for 30 minutes and then turned. That way I didn't have to reprogram the time on the air fryer. Used digital thermometer , 160 in the thigh, 155 breast. Legs tied and breast side down. Rubbed it all over with olive oil and heavily sprinkled with Cajun seasoning. First time using my air fryer and the hubster and I were amazed at how juicy and delicious it was. Definitely making again! About 10 to 12 minutes a pound.

Delicious! I omitted the salt and brined the bird for a few hours, took it out of the brine and placed it in the refrigerator to dry out the skin for another few hours. Very crispy skin and juicy breast!

The chicken turned out perfectly! Very crispy on the outside and very juicy on the inside. The temperature was on point. I didn’t use the same exact seasonings or oil type. But I used the exact time and temperature. I used vegetable oil 9-pepper blend, salt, pepper, kickin chicken and lemon pepper.

Amazing. I changed some of the seasoning, but the method worked. My new favorite thing to make in the air fryer.
