Holy cow! the surprise hit if the entire thanksgiving dinner spread. I could eat this every day for days. Will definitely be in the regular dinner circuit. Blew our minds and well exceeded expectation

I doubled the recipe and it was wonderful. I left off the almonds since I forgot to purchase but all my family really enjoyed.

A great recipe! Everyone customizes recipes, but it is nice to have ones that work under their own merit knowing that your little additions only make it your own.
I added1/4 c white wine, PLUS I used pearl barley instead of brown rice; plain yogurt instead of sour cream and I chopped up a cup of bocconcini cheese instead of cottage cheese (the latter two ingredients I just did not have in the fridge!) Nice and creamy awesome!!!
Oh, and I forgot to sprinkle the tarragon before we vultures swooped in ...

AMAZINGLY delicious!!! We threw in some chopped spinach, added herbs de provence to the egg/cottage cheese mixture, added a little spice to the mushrooms and let them start to crisp just a bit in the pan, and this was delightful. I wouldn't change a thing for next time - found it to be the OPPOSITE of dry! Definitely a new addition to our regular dinner rotation!

my family loves mushrooms and cheese so i was excited for this but honestly it was a bit dry. it was kid approved and it was good but needed something. my husband suggested cream of mushroom.

This was great! I added ground turkey. Family loved it. The tarragon really makes the meal. I may try spicing it up next time with a spice or two.
