- 2/3 cup shortening (high-ratio, see notes)
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 10 cups confectioners' sugar (1 kg plus 250 g, sifted)
- 1 1/3 cups heavy cream
- 1 Tbsp. pure vanilla extract (or vanilla bean paste)
- 2 Tbsp. water (plus more if needed)
- 1/4 cup cream cheese (room temperature)
- food color (in fuschia, see notes)
- 16 oreos (semi-crushed for the filling, plus more whole oreos for decorating, at least 8)
- 1/3 cup jimmies
- 5 oz. chocolate (semi-sweet best-quality, chopped or chips)
- 3/4 cup unsalted butter (cut into cubes)
- 1 Tbsp. corn syrup
- 1 pinch salt
