- 4 medium carrots (cut diagonally into thin slices)
- 4 cups beef broth
- 2 fresh rosemary (springs)
- 1 fresh thyme (springs)
- 2 tsp. cornstarch
- 2 tsp. cold water

- 1 1/2 cups broccoli (cut into bite-sized pieces)
