  • 3/4 cup salted butter (softened)
  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar (divided)
  • 1 eggs
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda

    Directions

    1. Line two baking sheets with silicone baking mats or parchment paper. Set aside.
    2. Measure 6 Tbs. (75g) of granulated sugar into a small bowl. Set aside.
    3. Place the softened butter and the remaining 1 cup plus 2 Tbs. (225g) of granulated sugar into a large bowl. Using a hand mixer or stand mixer fitted with a whisk attachment, cream together the butter and sugar on medium speed for 1 minute, or until pale and fluffy.

    Tried it this morning. First time. Dough cameout too crumbly. I added three tablespoons of whole milk, and that did the trick. Went back to my mom's Good Housekeeping recipe for the second and third batches for neighborhood haunt fest. Probably will give it another try when I have more time to play with the recipe and figure out where I went wrong. Read others had success on second attempts.

    I tried this recipe twice now. But the first time it had an unpleasant taste of egg. But this time I followed the recipe carefully and it turned out to be delicious this time!

    The dough ended up being a bit crumbly. I added some greek yogurt and an extra egg. They came out pretty good. Boyfriend approved.

    it was a good recipe but add baking powder instead of baking soda or it will make it bitter.

    Delicious! I used all of the sugar in the cookies and then used extra to coat them. I did one batch without freezing and one with and learned that freezing is essential for the structure of the cookies.

    The cookies were amazing, but I don’t suggest putting the dough into the freezer before baking. Before baking I put some rainbow sprinkles on top to add some color. I’d put a little less flour if you want them less doughy.

    Well, You need more than 2 baking trays for sure and it tasted better without the sugar on the outside (I used all the sugar in the dough)

    These turned out great! I used two cups of flour, and 1 1/2 cups of caster sugar in the dough. My cookies were about 1 tbsp of dough, and they cooked perfectly in 9 minutes.

    Good, simple easy to make. As already stated bake these for about 12 minutes at 300 then let them rest on a cooling rack. I added just a pinch of salt to the flour.

    oven temperature and bake time are missing. I baked at 300 for 10 to 15 min. Cookies taste great.
