Yummy! I added dried cranberries and pumpkin seeds (about 1 cup total). The dates are pretty dense and made it difficult to mix well with a spoon - I found it was easier to use my hands. They were a bit crumbly after cutting, I'll use a smaller amount of optional additions next time and chop my almonds into smaller chunks and hope that they stay together better.
