It was just okay after adjustments. Used honey instead of brown sugar. Due to the number of people who said it was salty, reduced amount of soy and increased the Hoisen. Added onion, celery, and carrots to the bell pepper. Also added some dried garlic and ginger. Still found it salty. Not sure if I would make again.

So yummy! We would do more sauce and a little less cashews next time but very good!

Quick and yummy! I replaced the soy sauce with coconut aminos and added some salt to make up for the swap

It was okay ... my wife didn’t care for the sauce - too sour, bitter - not sweet enough. Her go-to Chinese is General Tso’s Chicken. Other recipes use honey (instead of brown sugar) and garlic. Personally, I feel that garlic would be a welcome addition to this variation.

For me it needed more flavor so I added chili flakes, a pinch of garlic powder and ground ginger powder since it was late to add them fresh. Other than that it's a pretty good and easy to follow recipe.

Cooked the recipe as described and couldn’t fault it, family all ate in silence! Doesn’t get any better than that.

The best cashew chicken recipe I have tried. Super easy and always turns out great!

Loved this! where I live we don't have a great selection of Chinese Restaurants. I've been craving cashew chicken and i have made several attempts. This by far is the best recipe!

Something easy, I wouldn’t say amazing or a regular, but something to definitely try out.

Big hit with the family.
I added garlic salt, and broccoli.
And a bit extra chicken for four people.

It turned out exactly as described and instructed. Pretty tasty. Had it with some Tequila flavoured Beer, it was a perfect chilled out Sunday dinner.

Wonderful
I doubled the recipe. I’ve made this several times and always add orange and yellow pepper

It was very vinegary. I tried to save it with sweet soy sauce. It was also watery, not sticky sauce at all, although I knew I could thicken the sauce with cornstarch with water, I wanted to do it as recipe says. I won't do it again.

It was delicious and really quick. My whole family loved it. I'm adding this one to my regular menu.

It was tasty however I have 2 comments. I would not use high heat to brown the chicken and would double the sauce ingredients

So yummy! Didn't have soy sauce so I used liquid aminos. Also added my favorite Hokkien stir fry noodles. Now I can have this dish any time I want without MSG!

Very nice indeed! I added sriachi sauce aswell, just to give it a little heat and used thigh fillets

I made this dish 3 times. The first time with regular soy sauce and it was so salty, The second time with low sodium soy, still salty. Third time, same thing. It's such a nice recipe and I want to have it in my dinner rotation. Maybe it's user error since I don't see any reviews that say salt bomb. Only one says it's a little salty.
Any advice?

DELICIOUS! I added some regular onions as well. This was quick and easy to make and way better than any cashew chicken I've ever gotten from a restaurant. Very light and fresh feeling. I served over brown rice with Asian slaw on the side. Way better and barely slower than delivery!

My family loved this. I added ginger and oyster sauce as well. It will be going into the regular meal rotation for sure!

This was quick and easy. It tasted pretty good, but was a bit salty for me. Has anyone modified it by adding extra brown sugar?

Enjoyed this simple to make meal. I added a kick of red pepper flakes to give some heat in balance with the sweet, salty and sour flavors called for in the recipe.

This is an outstanding recipe. I made it exactly as directed, and it was the talk of my dinner party. I also made the recipe again, to add some of my own flair (added 6 cloves garlic crushed, 1 tsp of minced ginger, 1/2 teaspoon of red pepper flakes) and followed the same instructions... it was the bomb.

I made this recipe and followed the sauce directions exactly. I did add snow peas because I had no peppers. I think toasting the cashews gave it a lovely depth of flavor! It was delicious and my husband nearly finished off the leftovers before bed...he loved it. We had no issues with the saltiness. I think anything with hoisin sauce and soy sauce (even the low sodium kind) is going to be a bit on the salty side. That's Asian cuisine!
