- 1/4 cup fat (divided friendly, to cook in such as butter, pastured lard or tallow, avocado oil, or coconut oil)
- 3 cups cooked chicken (leftover, cubed, use leftovers from your whole crockpotted chicken, whole roasted chicken, or whole Instant Pot chicken, !)
- 1/2 tsp. sea salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1/4 head cabbage (sliced thin)
- 4 cups sugar peas (sliced broccoli works well too)
- 1 bunch green onions (chopped)
- 3 inches ginger (piece of, peeled and finely chopped)
- 3 cloves garlic (minced)
- 3 large carrots (sliced with a julienne peeler or just sliced thin)
- 1/4 cup coconut aminos (this replaces soy sauce - it tastes just like it without soy! You can find it at most health food stores however I find it is cheaper through Amazon)
- 1/4 tsp. turmeric
- 1/3 cup bone broth (or water)
- pepper
- sea salt
- green onion
- chopped nuts
- 3 cups long-grain white rice (cooked, for serving)

Tasted good, but nothing necessarily interesting about it. I liked the use of bone broth in this recipe for flavor! If you don’t have leftover chicken to use, be sure to add some extra prep time to pre-cook the chicken. I used the chicken drippings from the pan as part of the bone broth portion and it worked well. I’d make it again since it was a crowd-pleaser :)
