- 1 kg pig (’s fats, You may opt for normal cooking oil instead – although it may not be as tasty)
- 1 kg pork shoulder (butt, Or chicken)
- 450 grams shallots
- 160 grams garlic
- 250 grams chestnuts
- 350 grams prawns (dried small sized)
- 15 pieces mushrooms
- 2 kilograms glutinous rice
- 1 packet bamboo leaves (large size)
- 20 egg yolks (salted, halved – Optional)
- 120 grams coriander seeds (wash and roast them in the wok till fragrant and pound them into powder. If you can’t get it in seed form use the powder, but in my opinion it is not as fragrant as the seeds)
- soya sauce (Superior black)
- salt
