How Guided Recipe Videos Work
Yummly Guided Recipe Videos are structured to walk you through the recipe, not just entertain. They're mini tutorials, so you know exactly what to do — from what ingredients and tools you need all the way to plating your meal.
On the Yummly original recipes page, you'll see recipes with a "play" button in the right-hand corner; those are the Guided Video Recipes. You could also just put the word "Guided" into Yummly's recipe search bar.

Click on one of those, and then hit the blue "Make It Now" now button right next to the "Yum" button.

When you click on the "Make It Now" button, it takes you to step-by-step video instructions so you can watch your very own digital sous chef cook along with you, step by step. No need to pause the video while you play catch-up: Each step is its own snippet, and you hit "next" when you're ready. (Or, in the Android app, use voice commands!)

Not only do you see how recipes are executed, but the written instructions are laid out next to the video. That means if you don't know what a recipe means by "crush garlic," the video answers your question before you can ask it.

Additionally, in the video, when ingredients and tools are required for a step, they're listed to the right under the directions.
As you're following directions, you have the option of taking each step as quickly or slowly as you'd like. When you're ready to move to the next step, click on the "Next" button.

When it's all put together, we'll show you how to garnish your dish.
